Mint $90k lot of rare silver 1932-D and 1932-S Washington quarter issues.

Recently, the mint released a lot valued at an astonishing $90,000, comprising these rare silver quarters, which has ignited a fervor in the numismatic community.

The Washington quarter was first minted in 1932 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of George Washington's birth.

Designed by John Flanagan, the coin features a bust of Washington on the obverse and an eagle with outstretched wings on the reverse.

While the initial run in 1932 was intended to be a one-time commemorative issue, the design proved so popular that it became the standard for subsequent years.

However, the economic turmoil of the Great Depression significantly impacted coin production.

The Denver (D) and San Francisco (S) mints produced particularly low numbers of quarters in 1932, making the 1932-D and 1932-S issues some of the rarest in the series.

The coin was preserved in an almost flawless state, showing no signs of wear or damage, which is rare for quarters from this era.
