Uncommon Bicentennial Quarter: Six More Worth Over $150,000 USD; Nearly $30 Million USD

While most Bicentennial quarters are worth only their face value or slightly more, there are a few rare and highly sought-after specimens that have commanded astounding prices at auction.

Recently, six such quarters have surfaced, each valued at over $150,000 USD, contributing nearly $30 million USD to the burgeoning rare coin market.

The Bicentennial quarter was minted in 1975 and 1976 to commemorate the United States' bicentennial celebration.

Unique in its design, the quarter featured a special reverse side, depicting a colonial drummer with a victory torch encircled by 13 stars, representing the original 13 colonies.

These quarters were produced in vast quantities, with millions entering circulation and many being hoarded as souvenirs.

Errors such as double dies, off-center strikes, and other anomalies can significantly increase a coin's value.

These six quarters possess unique minting errors that set them apart from the millions of other Bicentennial quarters.
